Greetings,

We've long had demos of elements of our platform, but we recently built an app that showcases how they work together. Application-layer encryption is scary to many people who are afraid it will break their app, but you really can write good apps with good security and protected data at the core and a good user experience.

To demonstrate this, we made something of an Evernote clone where all the notes are encrypted, search over the notes is encrypted, note attachments are encrypted, and we even included.... wait for it.... AI! (Because what app is complete without a chatbot these days?)  And yeah, that's encrypted, too.

To check that out, you can read the overview blog or watch the video and we'll be open sourcing the code soon.

And on the topic of AI, we've talked to quite a few security professionals who have told us how afraid they are of the new risks with these AI systems, but how the push to adopt is overwhelming.  We've advised on ways to deal with these new risks and on how to talk to business stakeholders about their importance.  And we've put some of those talking points into a new blog.

I truly hope this is useful for you. As always, I'm happy to answer any questions.

Application-layer Encryption (ALE) Demo Using a Notes App

We build a new app to demonstrate what an ALE application looks like in practice.  The app is a simple Notes manager that we walk through to show the normal user experience on the front end and then to show the experience of insiders or hackers looking at the various data stores where all the sensitive data is encrypted.  We show multiple backend storage and search systems as well.

Securing Gen-AI White Paper

A Comprehensive Tour of AI Security and Tools and Techniques to Fix the Problems

This new white paper is jam packed with infographics, diagrams, risks, security of AI tools categories, and it even has a list of questions to ask your vendors who are trying to push new AI features into your apps.

We're pretty sure this is the most helpful guide to security of AI that's out there and we hope you'll take a look and share it with your entire team and maybe your professional network, too.  Feedback welcome, as always.
